Ianto nodded, stiltedly. He was unconsciously gripping the door handle again, unaware that he was doing it, but still doing it nonetheless as he tried to school his expression into something more neutral than a cross between 'oh my god, we're in a hovercar, this is the most brilliant thing ever' and 'oh my god, does this kid know what he's doing, what if we crash and die'.

He wondered at how it drove, what the buttons were for, but he knew better than to ask; he just wouldn't understand no matter how he tried. Instead he opted for a much simpler option.
