"It wouldn't be hard to modify," Sulu said confidently, "But you're right. If the fact that there was another captain wandering around didn't make things difficult, Jack's confidence probably would." Confidence was a pretty polite way of saying "rampant sexual innuendo," but Sulu was now catering towards the idea that Jack might've actually been listening in.

"Even if I did memorize it, I seriously doubt I'd trust myself to touch that thing," he added, referring to the vaguely complex coffee machine Ianto had in his flat. "But I might actually want some too. Mornings and me don't mix," he laughed.

Sulu followed as side-by-side with Ianto as he could, because it was a bit awkward to be pulled around by his wrist; when the other missed a step, though, he put a hand on his shoulder to steady him with a worried look on his face. "Are you okay?" Even though it obviously wasn't okay, it was... well, the thing to ask.
