torchwoodteaboy: (sneaky sneak)

Ianto raised an eyebrow at Sulu. "Anything?" Ianto asked, chuckling a little. "You're trusting me to order the food and the drink? Duw. Well, alright then." He looked the menu over again, trying to find something that he thought Sulu might like. "That's a tall order, I hope you know. I've got a reputation to uphold, in these sorts of things. I can usually guess how people'd like to take their coffee, but their hops..."

Ianto raised his head, opening his mouth to ask if Sulu'd prefer light or dark, at least, or to dig something out of him to go on, but he stopped himself, shutting his mouth again, and just looked at Sulu. Nothing too strong, to start off with, because Sulu had said that he took to alcohol rather strongly, so. And... Well, the other man didn't really seem like a dark drink type of person. What might he actually really enjoy...? He looked down to his menu, putting some actual thought into this, so that when the waiter came by, he thought he might know exactly what to get.

Taking the menu from the other man, so he wouldn't be able to know what it was that Ianto ordered for him, he handed them to the waiter, putting in an order for food by the generic name of the Wetherspoon sharer for the two of them, a pint of Thwaites Highwayman for himself, and something called Celdonian Deuchars for Sulu. As the waiter left, he shot the other a look. "You left it up to me, just so you know. You have to take full responsibility if you end up with something you don't like, yeah? I'm... I'm not used to ordering for someone else, or anything," he said, with a blush.
