"Don't apologize," Sulu said, realizing he was probably repeating himself from that night but not caring, "Really, don't. Like I said, we don't usually get that kind of welcome back - not when we're single on a ship like the Enterprise." And really, despite how terrible it had made him feel, Sulu had appreciated it. He'd loved it, really, especially the kissing and making up part of the deal.

Not that he'd say that aloud, of course.

"I'll make sure to keep coming back, then," Sulu said with a smile, "So you can keep being happy and relieved. I'd hate to disappoint you, otherwise."
