Sulu shifted to lean closer, keeping the kiss soft, relishing in it more than he had the last time they'd kissed. Not to say he hadn't thoroughly enjoyed it, but this - it was different. It was romantic and not desperate or anxious, fueled only by the nerves they had when it came to this new change in their relationship, the dating and the flirting and the hand-holding. Before, kissing had been the way to assure both of them that everything was all right; this was more par-for-the-course, more... understandable. After all, not everyone made out just to make sure that the other was really there.

Sulu slid an arm around Ianto's shoulders, both to keep him close and to encourage him forward; his other hand reached across them to rest against Ianto's neck and jaw, putting just a little more pressure into the kiss - it was still definitely lighter than the one they'd shared before, but there was absolutely no trace of hesitance.
