Maybe it was low expectations; maybe Ianto was right. But Sulu had never gone a relationship without making an ass out of himself - there were, after all, reasons why each of his dates ended up breaking up with him, and not the other way around.

Still, he couldn't help but think that things might very well be different with Ianto. He didn't feel like he was going to cause problems or do something stupid to make Ianto upset or annoyed with him. That in itself was a little scary - he'd never felt like this around anyone.

"I promise," he said, "Though I seriously doubt you're going to do anything wrong. I - I'm not even sure I can screw this up. After all, I like you enough to not mess up yet... Much, at least."
