It wasn't as though Sulu could ever regret joining Starfleet, but right now, he was imagining the things that he used to do as though they were fantasies, so it was at least good that Ianto felt the same way. He decided to say as much - he knew he'd need to go soon, and for some reason, he didn't want the night to end on some conversation about going to the market of all things.

"It's..." He trailed off, then started again, changing tactics. "I'm really glad that you... feel the same about this as I do. I mean, if you do. Staying in, and everything - it might be silly to you, I don't know." He fidgeted, toeing off his shoes and flinging them into the corner with his uniform boots. "I'm glad that staying in sounds good to you." That the mundane sounded good, that Ianto didn't want to go on adventures every time they were together. They would happen, he knew - their jobs basically called on sudden changes in plans, alterations to involve either alien hunts or skirmishes against enemy ships - but that didn't mean he wanted to seek them out. Not with Ianto - not with someone who made him feel content just sitting on the couch.
