There probably wasn't a lot for a place like Newport to be known for - Sulu certainly hadn't heard of it, except for the Newport down in Southern California - but he couldn't imagine that there wasn't something interesting that wasn't a bridge or a bunch of abandoned warehouses. He didn't say as much, since Ianto obviously knew his hometown better than he did, but that didn't change the fact that Sulu imagined there was at least something interesting there from a 20th century standpoint.
"Yeah, well." He shrugged, not really knowing how to respond to that. "When the aliens come, maybe they can make Newport into their San Francisco." He grinned briefly at Ianto as they breezed through a yellow light.
