Sulu was certain that everything would work out, unlike Ianto. He was too optimistic not to. The worst they'd have to deal with would be a few awkward moments, for however long this silly virus lasted. (Unless they did need to deal with some kind of alien threat. Then, Sulu imagined that things wouldn't be so easy to deal with.)
"Whatever happens," he said, "It's not like you can't deal with it - or that I can't deal with it, or Jack." And maybe that meant more than he really meant it to, thinking it over, especially adding Jack's name like that. But it was true; whatever happened, now or later, they were all smart enough to not let it affect them. If it even affected them.
