It really was just harder to make a mistake with Sulu, when it came to most conversation. He was remarkably casual about most things, to the point where people sometimes had trouble accepting the fact that he was all right with whatever was happening, and that translated to his personal and romantic life. He wasn't going to say that aloud, though; it sounded a lot like boasting in Sulu's mind, and he really didn't want to be that kind of person.
"Another round sounds great," he said with a smile, "I promise, I'm not planning on getting drunk on you, either, so you don't have to worry about that." He shook his head, "And - it'll take some practice, I guess, yeah. I just hate it when I can't get the hang of things right away." He laughed, "That's why I hate 3D chess."
