Sulu's expression brightened a bit when the food came, because - well, let's face it. He was a 21-year-old man who rarely got to eat bar food nowadays. Plus, he hadn't had prawns in years, so he was pretty glad to be able to try the 21st century variety. He picked out a few prawns and put them on his own side plate, grinning at Ianto. "Laverbread?" It didn't sound particularly appetizing, but if Ianto liked it, Sulu would try it.
"Oh, and yeah - 3D chess is, it's like regular chess but instead of the board on one level, you have three main levels, plus two smaller levels that have two boards. One person starts on the top level, while the other person starts on the bottom." He tried to describe the board while using his hands to indicate where the levels would go, making a face.
