Ianto noticed the pause that Sulu gave before he answered him, but with the alcohol softening his reactions to everything, he didn't really think too much of it. "I'm intrigued as to what might make the sort of planet that you would call 'the perfect planet' for me visiting, but I'll leave all the guessing for now and just see where this takes us, yeah? I mean. The human race in the 21st century doesn't even technically know that there's other life out there, so. I have very little idea as to what another planet would even be like."
He smiled, laughing a bit. "I'd appreciate that. If we could steer clear of the other officers. I mean, as much as you can. I understand that we wouldn't be able to just wander off on our own, for the most part." He ate some more of the food on the platter. They were slowly but surely making work of the pile of it all. "It's just that. Being to another planet is going to be exciting. I. I don't think that I'll really be able to keep myself from being a complete idiot about the whole experience, really."
