List of new and/or important plants. No need to be comprehensive, here.
CURRENT PLANT COUNT: 32 NEW SPECIES, 15 EARTH SPECIES
???, "Audrey III"
-Sentient plant. Composed of a subterraneous body, roughly the shape of a pear, with a wide mouth containing approx. 123 teeth, seemingly made up of extra-hardened bark. Mouth sits near the surface. Bright blue, spiked flower serves as a lure for food; generally surrounded by dark, waxy leaves. Some evidence of being capable of surviving above soil. Several larger root-like appendages extend from under the soil, generally hidden unless excited. (Note: Audrey is always excited. It's like having a dog.) At current size, unable to lift a human more than 13CM off the ground. At full size, a height of 6 meters can be achieved. DO NOT ALLOW ROOTS AROUND ANKLES. Seriously, don't.
???, "Lunar rose"
-Rose-like plant. Flowers are sharp orange in color, glow faintly in the dark. Stem structure weak. Light shade/partial sunlight, water needed roughly every 150 hours. Periodically sprays pollen during bloom to assist in pollination. Pollen: nonlethal, but can lead to a mild rash if not washed off immediately. Contained due to concerns by Dr. McCoy.
Ficus benjamina, "Weeping fig," "the Ficus"
-Average growth rate for its species. Seems to be adamant about not growing properly while in the lab. Tends to wilt unexpectedly. Bounces back fast. Huge pain in the ass.

???, "Andromeda tulips"
-Structural resemblance to tulips. Generally dark colors with tightly spotted lighter pigmentation, white stems and leaves. Seems to have no preference for shade/light, requires watering every 72 hours. Floral/almond smell. Toxic if ingested. (Not testing that theory.)
???, "Luvarian fern"
-Similar in pigmentation to lunar roses. Feathery texture to leaves, no glowing. Prefers partial sunlight and water every 200 hours. Nothing unusual noted.
???, "Army weeds"
-Species 1: Blue/green pattern across entire plant, fuzzy texture. Generally grows up to .5 meters. Prefers partial shade and water every 72 hours. No scent. Local habitat: clearings and around the edges of local forest.
-Species 2: Dark purple/black color with few lighter pigments throughout. Grows no more than 30CM. Prefers full shade and water every 100 hours. Scent is musty, mulchy. Local habitat: darkest parts of forest. (Possibly used in burial rituals???)
???, "Borgia plant"
-Root plant, resembles parsnip or turnip. Green in color; DO NOT CONSUME. Contains alkaloid poison similar to Nightshade. Smells like tapioca.
???, "Talosian singing plant"
-Blue plant with a single lilypad-shaped leaf on a long stem. Native to Talos IV. Medium-to-high windspeed will cause the plant to vibrate; this causes the plant to emit a chiming noise. Contained to keep it from going off all the time.
???, "Thurisaz plant"
-Purple plant with red thorns measuring approximately 3CM in length. Thorns contain a toxin that results in a swollen tongue, lips and fingers, plus effects similar to pink eye; pollen is non-poisonous. Contained due to people trying to touch it and needing trips to the infirmary. (Ensign Ricky really needs to stay out of the lab.)
Cannabis sativa, "Pot," "Marijuana," "Dude I didn't know you smoked!"
-Really need to find a better place for this. NOT FOR ANYONE TO JUST TAKE.
((OOC: This is to help keep a list of plants and such that are referenced/could be referenced in logs and such. Most of them are made up on the fly by someone, which is perfectly fine to do! This is just in case we're doing a log in the botany lab and you don't want to come up with some random plant. :> Will be added to as it develops.))
